Welcome to all members of Anthropology Connections,
As we now well into 2013, it is good to report that the first few events of the year for members went well. An account of the Freud Museum visit of 23 February is here.
On 9 March, there was another members' event, a visit to the Griffith Archive of Egyptology, in the care of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford; a full account of this visit will be on the website in the near future.
We had our usual spring celebration, with a Nawroz meal at Simurgh Persian restaurant, on the 20 March. See News.
It is a new year and membership fees for 2013 are due. I (Nic, the Membership Secretary) will be in touch with you individually. I'll also be asking you what you would really like to be done as an event, to make the Society work along your interests. We are now set up for payment by Paypal on this site.
Late Spring / early Summer, we are looking to hold a new and prospective members' event, which will be advertised on this website, and from following up contacts known to us.
This update of the website is relatively small. One section we are looking to expanding is the list of bookshops that good for anthropology texts, etc. We'd welcome your suggestions!
